My name is Oscar Pitura. I created this website when I was 10 years old and attending primary school. Making Oscarletics site in 2022, I wanted to share my interests and hobby with others and most of all to promote my first project called 'OscarLetics'. Computers, Science and Technology always fascinated me as far as I remember. My first coding steps began using simple software 'Scratch' when I was 6. My skills were expanding rapidly throughout different programming languages. Constantly, I was looking for more challenging projects, following professional tutorials and advanced coding courses like Zenva Academy. I had completed multiple courses designated for adult students far above my age. Then I decided to make my first, big project OscarLetics. Math is my favourite subject, so my aim was to create a simple, educational tool that helps children to practice their arithmetic skills. Graphics in my game was inspired by Cumbrian picturesque rural surroundings where I live. Very quickly, I have found out that my application had met with a lot of enthusiasm among teachers and pupils at my school. This gave me confidence to try and publish OscarLetics onto the Google Play Store. Recently the app has moved on to the Amazon App Store. I must mention as well about my dear parents and younger sister who became my game testers, supporting me on each milestone when I was working on my project.
My next steps took me through other challenges like Harvard CS50W course, which I completed just reaching age 12. In the meantime, my interest was focusing on STEM technologies and Neural Networks projects. And this was a trigger for my new idea to build my first robot – Robotic Hand that plays Rock, Paper, Scissors which I am happy to present on my website.
Please feel welcome to take a browse through my YouTube channel, watch and explore my previous projects. It is a perfect place to show creative solutions in coding and programming.
