My name is Oscar Pitura. I built this website at age 10 while in primary school to share my interests and showcase my first major project, OscarLetics.
From as early as I can remember, I have been fascinated by computers, science, and technology. I began coding at age 6 with Scratch and quickly progressed to multiple programming languages, completing professional tutorials and advanced courses—including adult-level programs—from platforms such as Zenva Academy.
In 2022, inspired by my love of mathematics and the scenic Cumbrian landscape where I live, I developed OscarLetics: an educational app that helps children practice arithmetic skills. The app received enthusiastic feedback from teachers and pupils at my school, giving me the confidence to publish it on the Google Play Store, followed by the Apple App Store and Amazon App Store. I am deeply grateful to my parents and younger sister, who served as dedicated testers and supporters throughout the project.
At age 12, I completed Harvard’s CS50W course. My current focus is on STEM fields, particularly neural networks and machine learning, which led to my latest project: a robotic hand that plays Rock, Paper, Scissors, presented on this website.
More recently, I have been playing the spaceflight simulator Kerbal Space Program, completing numerous missions and sharing several on my YouTube channel.
You are welcome to explore my YouTube channel and past projects to see my creative coding solutions in action.
